Howdy, my name is Jackson Jontra! I am currently a Masters student at Dallas Theological Seminary and am working under the supervision of Kylie Ball, LPC. I am interested in counseling teenagers, young adults, and student athletes and walking with them through difficulties like depression, anxiety, trauma, loneliness, and low self esteem. Being that faith is also very important to me, I also feel drawn to support Christians struggling with doubt, church hurt, or thoughts of deconstruction, though I am still more than willing to offer support for individuals from any other worldview.
Throughout my life and my own personal mental health journey, I have repeatedly seen how important and freeing it can be to know that you have someone to talk to, someone who will listen when you are struggling. Going to therapy can be a vital step in experiencing that breakthrough in our lives, and though it can sometimes be a difficult step to take, I consider it to be incredibly courageous and a worthy action. My hope is that through the therapy and healing process, the individual will develop new insights and a reinvigorated sense of worth and belief in themselves. This is an incredibly honorable and brave step to take, and I look forward to offering that support in this journey!
