I can’t take credit for this quote, although it explains my relation to you as a counselor “Life does not proceed by leaps and bounds. It unfolds.” One of my great joys is partnering with you as you begin this unfolding process. Room for Change itself offers you a safe, comfortable, home-like place to begin the journey to healing and wholeness. Through my work here, I share my heartfelt passion that there is hope and possibility despite the problems you face.
Through my own training and experience, I specialize in grief recovery support for all experiences of loss. I also offer holistic (mind, body, and spirit) approaches for those who have cancer (children and adult), along with those who are giving primary support to those who do. I also offer coping and recovery strategies for depression, anxiety, and child-based traumas, and in helping clients who may wish to explore their meaning and purpose in life.
Engaging you in compassionate trusting conversation is at the heart of my work with you. As I gain a deeper understanding of your specific need, I will also draw from several other disciplines as we may decide together, to help you achieve the recovery you seek. These may include CBT, DBT and EMDR and forms of narrative therapy.
I look forward to meeting you. No matter the challenges you face, I believe there is hope, possibility and help.
