You’re here because you have something you worry about, feel stuck on, or want to improve. You’re still searching for that person to hear you, walk with you on your journey, and help you get to . You’re on this page, bio, because you haven’t found the right fit yet.
Whatever you have in mind that you want to share – it’s important to you. You don’t want to trust it to just anyone. You want to work with someone who doesn’t just hear you, but listens. Someone who is not afraid to walk alongside you through the unknown. Someone who really, really gets you. I hope I can be that person.
I was a lawyer for thirteen years before I realized I was in the wrong helping profession. I have been through so much change in my life; I’ve lived in nine different states, worked in three different industries, and walked with friends and family through life and death. I have learned and grown on every step of that journey – even though it sure didn’t feel like it times!
But professional headshots and short website bios don’t tell the bigger story: counselors are people just like you. We have worked hard to understand and embrace the many sides of ourselves, which is for you too. My many sides might seem surprising at first: I regularly attend Pride and NASCAR races. I have a vinyl record collection that includes Otis Redding and Taylor Swift. And I’m an Eagle Scout who doesn’t really enjoy being away from plumbing or clear skies. I promise to keep an open mind about your many sides, in hopes of showing you how to embrace them yourself.
We’re going to work side by side investing in the counseling process together. We’re going to be creative, try new things, and look for solutions in unconventional places. All while trying our best to be authentic and real with each other.
I’m excited to get started. I hope you are too.
