LPC Associate supervised by Amanda Esquivel, LPC Supervisor
Welcome! I am so excited that you’ve made your way here and are considering counseling. Whether we get to work together or not, I am excited for your journey and hope that we can help you navigate this process.
I believe one of the biggest factors of successful therapy is a trusting and honest relationship between the counselor and the client. My goal is to provide a safe and warm space for my clients to open up and be themselves, free of judgment. In my experience, people develop coping mechanisms that help them face the challenges they are presented with at that time. While these may have served us well at one point in time, they often hinder us later in life. My hope is to help you build a toolbox of healthier, more positive coping strategies that will benefit you throughout your life.
I am excited to potentially work alongside you as you overcome whatever struggles life has thrown at you. I desire to help you navigate any challenges you are currently facing as we work together to achieve the goals you have set for yourself and improve your quality of life.
Whether you’ve ever been to therapy before or not, know that every single person has the ability to change, and that includes you. I am proud of you for taking this step!
Clients I see:
I work with individuals ages 12+, couples, and families. My areas of focus are primarily teenage and younger adult women battling stages of life issues, anxiety, depression, shame, and past-traumas. I am also passionate about working with individuals who have a Christian belief system and may have experienced church hurt or spiritual wounds, but am happy to work with any client’s unique worldview.
I completed my practicum internship at The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center from September 2019 – May 2020 and have worked here at Room For Change since October of 2020.
